Renault Launches All-New Captur – The Ultimate Crossover Experience

Renault has launched the All-New Renault Captur, a completely re-invigorated model version of its predecessor. The Captur model is a multi-functional and faceted crossover that balances design and practicality. The Captur has been popular globally, with 1.5 million sales within more than 90 countries since its inception in 2013. The updated version of Captur is highly anticipated in the local market, following the introduction of Captur Phase 2 in 2017. The All-New Captur presents a unique experience – versatile and adaptive to one’s needs, thanks to the intuitive technology, an unmistakable and comfortable cabin, and an athletic SUV design, inside and out.

The All-New Captur offers updated exterior and interior design with distinctive style. The signature front and rear LEDs flank the notably enhanced curvature of the vehicle, while the interior boasts elevated slicker design and trim levels. The SUV styling has been enhanced, putting forward more athletic curves and a raised waist, which contributes to its striking design. The All-New Captur has bold 17-inch wheels and new bodywork volumes that add to its imposing SUV look. The bi-tone colour combinations on the Intens model make it look even more unique.

The All-New Captur holds a prestigious 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating, with six airbags and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Anti-Locking Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), and Hill Start Assist (HSA). It offers front and rear park assist with the reverse camera and lane departure warning technology, which reduces risks, especially on long motorway journeys. The Captur also offers cruise control and speed limiter, accessible through the control buttons on the left-hand side of the steering wheel, and blind-spot warning to avoid collisions. Traffic Sign recognition with speed limit warning uses the front camera on the windscreen to combine GPS data, for even greater accuracy.

The All-New Captur has the Smart Cockpit, offering best-in-class in Renault technology, with a 9.3-inch multimedia screen, which is one of the largest in the segment. The slightly curved portrait tablet brings a distinct modernity to the passenger compartment, with its curvature angled towards the driver, improving the legibility of its screen. The Renault EASY LINK multimedia system presents an all-connected and customised multimedia experience, onboard navigation and infotainment services. The hands-free key card is the ultimate in convenience. The multi-sense drive modes allow one to customize the drive to suit the mood, from ECO to NORMAL through to SPORT mode, while the subtle ambient lighting within the cockpit mirrors the selected mode.

The passenger compartment in the All-New Renault Captur is enriched with modern fittings that improve its comfort, ergonomics, and overall quality. The top-of-the-range materials, soft coverings for the dashboard, meticulously finished fittings, and new seat architecture all contribute to the feeling of luxury. The All-New Renault Captur range has a starting price of R454 999.
