Following the recent launch of the Galaxy A34 and A54 in South Africa, Samsung has brought the latest A-series smartphone, the Galaxy A24 LTE, to the country. This newest edition of the Galaxy A Series sports a minimalist back design that’s near identical to that of the S23 series, except that the back of the device is made of glossy plastic, and features Corning Gorilla Glass display protection.
The Galaxy A24 LTE, one of very few non-5G phones from the Korean giant in recent memory, has a 6.5-inch super AMOLED display equipped with eye care technology.
Camera-wise you can find a triple-lens camera setup comprising a 50MP main camera, supported by an ultra-wide 5MP and a macro 2MP lens, with a 13MP selfie camera up front.
The 5,000mAh battery can be charged via a 25W fast charger – whether it’s included in the box is something that Samsung has neglected to mention – and comes equipped with One UI 5.1. The phone has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space, which is expandable by up to 1TB with MicroSD.
Looking at the sustainability factor, the phone’s side keys and SIM trays are made from recycled plastic, and no hazardous substances were used in its production. The packaging was minimised and developed using recycled paper.
The Galaxy A24 LTE will be available at retail partner stores from 01 May 2023, at a recommended retail price of R4999.
