Tecno has launched the Spark 5, one of the most interesting, low-cost smartphones currently available in South Africa.
Packing a total of five cameras, the quad-camera setup on the back packs a 13MP Primary camera with F/1.8 aperture, a 2MP Macro lens for close-up shots, a 2MP Depth lens for Bokeh effects, an AI lens, while the selfie camera has a dual flash. The AI Camera 3.0 algorithm uses Artificial Intelligence, the quad rear flash, and a big F/1.8 aperture to capture clear, more natural photos at night and during the day.
According to Tecno, AI will improve all your photos by optimising the lighting and scene details and it will help you to take better selfies; with a dual front flash and Portrait HDR, they’ll be brighter and smoother. There’s also a new AI Beauty Mode that offers pre-set features like intelligent brightening, skin polishing, and other beauty effects. There’s a Beauty Mode in video chat too, so you’ll look fresher for your interview or your chats with friends and family.
It’s not just about the cameras though, the Spark 5 comes with a 5000mAh battery that promises 344 hours of standby time, 16 hours of calling, 8 hours of camera work, or 14 hours of continuous video playback. It also offers 32GB storage, 2GB of RAM, and a 6.6inch Dot-in Display with 480 nits of brightness and a 90.2% screen ratio.
It also comes with a pair of spectacular HiPods H2 wireless earphones; these portable, lightweight earphones offer IPX4 certified water-resistance and up to 24 hours of non-stop music playback when paired with the carrying case. The HiPods H2 work with Bluetooth 5 and have tap controls.
