Huawei held an event in Dubai this evening to unveil several new devices geared toward creative professionals and general users alike, indicating the company’s continued commitment to appealing design and innovative technology. Ok
The star of the showcase was the HUAWEI FreeClip earbuds, which feature an “open-ear” design that allows ambient noise to filter in while audio plays. This gives users situational awareness while enjoying music, podcasts or calls. The other major selling point of FreeClip is the aesthetics – the earbuds are designed to look like elegant jewelry when worn.
“We are bringing style to wearable audio tech, turning them into a fashion statement,” said Pablo Ning, President of Huawei’s consumer cloud services division.
Also introduced was the HUAWEI MatePad Pro tablet with a 13.2” flexible OLED screen, ultra-slim 5.5mm thickness and svelte 580g weight. Content creators will appreciate the high 144Hz refresh rate and rich color reproduction. The tablet can also instantly turn into a laptop with the company’s new Smart Magnetic Keyboard.
For artists, the third-generation M-Pencil stylus provides extraordinary precision and pressure sensitivity, enabling digital drawing and painting that mimics real-world materials. This makes the MatePad Pro an ideal portable sketchbook and art tablet.
Business users are not forgotten – the new MateBook D 16 laptop promises desktop-class performance in a thin and lightweight chassis, powered by an advanced 13th Gen Intel Core i9 processor. The 16” screen is surrounded by tiny bezels, providing an expansive workspace.
Finally, an updated version of the popular mid-range MatePad Air also debuted. It now features Huawei’s PaperMatte Display technology previously only seen on the company’s high-end models. This screen coating reduces reflections and glare that can strain the eyes during extended use.
Huawei also announced an upcoming digital art contest called GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity, perhaps hinting that the company hopes to attract more creative professionals to its ecosystem. With this latest product range, Huawei makes a compelling case for artists, photographers and designers seeking inspiration.
