Samsung’s Galaxy A22 has a 5000mAh battery and a 90Hz display and it’s now available in South Africa

In the words of a fellow tech journalist, “it’s hard to not support Samsung right now,” because they’re killing it at every single segment of the smartphone market they’re in.

Once known as the leader in high-end premium devices, Samsung has not only strengthened their hold in the top tier, but they’ve done some impressive work to improve their more affordable mid-range offerings with the much loved A-series.

Last year’s A51 became one of the best-selling phones of the year and this year’s A52 series – announced alongside the A72 series – looks set to do the same.

Samsung also sneakily released the A32 and now they’ve added yet another new device to the A-series in the form of the A22.

“The Galaxy A22 is an impressive device at excellent value that builds on our growing Galaxy A Series portfolio”, said Justin Hume, Director: Integrated Mobility at Samsung South Africa. “Featuring an immersive display and a versatile camera, our customers can experience next-generation performance, demonstrating Samsung’s commitment to providing accessible devices without compromising on quality”.

On paper, the A22 packs impressive specs for its R3999.00 price point and is available in three different colours.
