ASUS and ROG Computex 2025 showcase teases more AI, more gaming gear, and a few LED fever dreams

With Computex 2025 just weeks away, ASUS and its not-so-mild-mannered gaming cousin, Republic of Gamers (ROG), are gearing up to unveil a sprawling collection of AI-powered tech and gaming hardware so bold, it could double as cosplay for your desk.

Their themes? ASUS is calling it “Ubiquitous AI. Incredible Possibilities”, while ROG is rolling with something a little more chaotic: immersive labs, AI-generated aesthetics, and a concept space called Future Gamer. No, it’s not a reboot of Ready Player One, but we wouldn’t be shocked if the booths borrow the lighting.

Of course, I haven’t seen any of this yet — but I’ve seen ASUS and ROG work a show floor before. And if past Computex appearances are anything to go by, expect two things: a blitz of hardware announcements (some real, some aspirational) and presentation spaces that feel like the set of a big-budget anime intro.

What’s confirmed so far is ambitious: ASUS is showing off AI across edge devices, cloud infrastructure, creator tools, and even healthcare applications. That includes AI-driven security, generative media, and productivity enhancements designed to feel invisible — the kind of tech that gets out of your way until you actually need it.

Meanwhile, over at the ROG booth (M0520, if you’re plotting your route through Taipei Nangang), you’ll likely see the brand’s latest vision for gaming setups that are both hyper-functional and aesthetic as hell. If the names Illumotion and Future Gamer sound like synthwave album titles, well, that’s probably intentional. ROG has always been as much about vibes as it is about teraflops.

And there’s something to be said for that. As AI becomes the default sauce in every tech product recipe, it’s refreshing to see companies exploring not just what it does, but what it feels like to live with it — and game with it.

So what’s ASUS and ROG’s angle this year? Probably something between “AI for everyone” and “your future self called — they want their gaming rig back.” Whether they stick the landing or not, one thing’s clear: Computex 2025 is shaping up to be less about raw specs, and more about the cultures and identities these devices help create.

Which, let’s be honest, is way more interesting than another keynote about cooling systems.
