HONOR has outlined its Black Friday and Christmas deals for South Africa, running from 1 November to 31 December 2025, with discounts across almost every category in its smartphone and tablet range. It’s a broad campaign aimed at buyers who want solid devices at predictable prices, and the timing positions HONOR squarely in the year-end retail rush.
The HONOR X7d 5G leads the announcement at R3 999. With a 6 500 mAh battery, IP65 water resistance, SGS Premium Drop Protection and the Instant AI Eraser Button, it’s pitched as a practical everyday option rather than a feature-heavy flagship. In a market where reliability often carries more weight than performance marketing, these kinds of specs tend to land well.
Sitting at the top of the lineup is the HONOR Magic V5 at R37 999. It’s HONOR’s foldable entry for the season, and while foldables still occupy a niche in South Africa, they remain an important signalling device for any brand that wants to be seen as active in the premium category. The OLED display and folding design are familiar territory, but their inclusion in this promotion shows that HONOR wants visibility across all tiers, not just the value band.
Lower down the price ladder, the X series forms the backbone of the offer. The HONOR X5b comes in at R1 499, the X5b Plus at R1 999, the X6b at R2 699 and the X6c at R2 799. These are the segments that drive most mobile adoption in South Africa, where buyers need stable performance, sensible battery life and a display that works for messaging, schoolwork and video. The HONOR X7c at R3 999 extends that with more storage and a larger battery.
The tablet section includes the HONOR Pad X8a LTE at R3 499, the Wi-Fi model at R2 999 and the compact Pad X7 Wi-Fi at R1 799. These sit in the familiar price band for study devices, shared family tablets and secondary screens for hybrid work. They’re unlikely to dominate attention during Black Friday, but they fit the practical spending patterns seen in many South African households.
The mid to upper tier includes the HONOR X9c at R8 999, the HONOR 400 Lite at R6 999, the HONOR 400 at R10 999 and the HONOR 400 Pro at R15 999. This is where camera quality, durability and day-to-day consistency tend to matter most. The inclusion of this tier in the deals suggests HONOR wants more visibility across the middle of the market, not only at the entry level.
The offers are available through a wide list of retailers including TFG, Ackermans, Pep Stores, Mr Price, Edgars, Makro, Truworths, Game, Dunns, Incredible Connection, Hi-Fi Corp, Woolworths, OK Furniture, House and Home, Pick n Pay and Shoprite. This footprint reflects where South Africans actually shop for phones, from mainstream electronics outlets to more general-purpose retail chains.
Most deals run until 31 December, with selected offers ending on 30 November. It’s a straightforward announcement, but one that positions HONOR strongly in a competitive season where affordability, availability and practical features tend to determine where shoppers land.
