HONOR’s Africa Tech Debut

Smartphone giant HONOR has announced its debut as a Gold Sponsor at the upcoming Africa Tech Festival 2024. This strategic entry into one of the world’s fastest-growing digital markets promises to bring cutting-edge technology to consumers across the continent.

Set to take place from November 12-14 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, the Africa Tech Festival is the continent’s premier tech event, drawing over 15,000 attendees from across the industry. HONOR’s presence at this influential gathering signals its commitment to becoming a major player in Africa’s digital future.

At the heart of HONOR’s showcase will be its innovative foldable smartphones and the AI-powered HONOR Magic Series. These devices represent the cutting edge of mobile technology, offering features that could revolutionise how Africans interact with their devices.

“We’re excited to bring our most advanced technology to the African market,” said Fred Zhou, General Manager of HONOR Technologies Africa. “Our goal is to make these innovations accessible to everyone, driving digital inclusion across the continent.”

But HONOR isn’t just bringing hardware to Africa. The company has already invested over R400 million in South Africa, supporting initiatives like the Youth Employment Service Program and Code with HONOR. This approach demonstrates HONOR’s commitment to not just selling products, but fostering a robust tech ecosystem in Africa.

A highlight of HONOR’s participation will be a fireside chat on November 12, featuring experts from HONOR, Google, and Cell C. Titled “The Future of the Smartphone Industry,” this discussion promises to offer insights into how AI and foldable technology could reshape Africa’s mobile landscape.
