Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S23 series are expected to be unveiled at the Unpacked event on 1 February but that hasn’t stopped design and colour ways for all three devices leaking ahead of the launch.
Now, according to Winfuture, specs for both the Galaxy S23 and S23+ have leaked. Both devices will sport an FHD+ (2340×1080 pixels), support for HDR10+ and an Infinity-O display with a screen size of 6.11 inches for the S23 and 6.6 inches for the S23+. Pixel density for the Galaxy S23 is rumoured to be 425 pixels per inch and 393 pixels per inch for the S23+ with a refresh rate that can dynamically adjust between 48 to 120 Hertz.
The displays are also rumoured to be Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, an upgrade from the display found on select Samsung devices from the S21 series onwards.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S23 and S23+ are rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which should bring a significant performance jump with its new cluster structure, higher clock speeds, and 4nm design. Both handsets are expected come with 8GB LPDDR5 memory and either 128 or 256 gigabytes of storage for the S23, and 256 or 512 gigabytes of storage for the S23+, however, yet again, there will be no MicroSD card slot.

In terms of cameras, both the S23 and S23+ are rumoured to have a 50MP main sensor with, an f/1.8 aperture and 23mm focal length equivalent, an 85 degree wide field of view and dual pixel autofocus. Rumours state that an ultra-wide-angle 12MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, 13mm focal length equivalent and 120 degrees wide field of view will also be on both devices. Rounding out the trio of lenses is a 10MP zoom lens with an f/2.4 aperture, 69mm focal length equivalent and a 36-degree wide field of view.
It’s said that 8K video recording at up to 30 frames per second will be possible on both the Galaxy S23 and S23+.
Remaining unchanged on both the S23 and S23+ is the autofocus enabled 12MP front camera.

A 3900mAh battery is expected to power the S23 while the S23+ is rumoured to be equipped with a 4700mAh one. Both handsets support fast charging however the S23 will be limited to 25 watt charging while the S23+ is capable of up to 45 watts and both devices will support 10 watt wireless charging.
Unlike the US iPhone 14 series which are eSIM only, all S23 models are rumoured to support two physical NanoSIM cards and an eSIM.
