Samsung Galaxy S23+ and S23 Ultra Leak: Same Design but with (Hopefully) Improved Specs

Just 1 day after the S23 leak, official images of Samsung’s Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra have also leaked thanks to Nieuwe Mobiel.

Like the S23, both the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra will be available in Phantom Black, Misty Lilac, Botanic Green and Cotton Flower.

While none of the official specs of the devices are available, it’s expected that the S23 series will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and will feature improved displays and higher-resolution camera sensors.

Some rumours suggest that this could be the last time we see Samsung unveil three S series handsets at Unpacked with speculation rife that the brand could be killing of the Plus variant.

Like the S22 Ultra, the Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with an S Pen housed inside the device and retains the boxy design first popularised by the now defunct Note series.

The S23 Ultra is expected to be the first Samsung handset with a 200MP main sensor and all S23 devices could bring satellite connectivity later this year when Qualcomm activates its Snapdragon Satellite program.

With all three flagship handsets having leaked ahead of the launch event, the brand will need one or more “surprise” products to drive excitement around the new offerings.

Could we see a new smartwatch or new true wireless buds launch alongside the new handsets?

Samsung’s first Unpacked event for the year takes place on 1 February 2023 at 8 pm CAT and can be watched at samsung.com/za or on Samsung’s YouTube Channel or via the Reframed homepage.
