Samsung’s recently restructured their mid-range offering by doing away with the J-series and replacing it with an expanded A-series.
Consisting of a range of new handsets, the standout of the A-series is the A50 thanks to its easily manageable one-handed size and its great camera and battery life.
The company has recently announced two new devices joining the popular A-series, the A30s and A50s, however, according to Samsung South Africa, only the A30s will be headed our way.
The A30s features a triple camera setup which now features a 25-megapixel main sensor (up from the 16-megapixel sensor on the A30), a 5-megapixel depth camera as well as a new 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, making it a triple camera setup compared to the dual-camera setup of the A30.
Samsung’s swapped out the 1080p Infinity-U display of the A30 with a 720p Infinity-V display for the A30s and they’ve removed the rear-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner in favour of an under-display one.
The A30s will be available in South Africa in October 2019 in two new colours, Prism Crush Black and Prism Crush Violet, with a pricetag of R4 499.00.
