Sony brings the bass with new ULT POWER SOUND lineup

Sony has revealed its new ULT POWER SOUND series, a lineup of speakers and headphones designed to deliver heart-pounding bass and powerful sound for music lovers. The Japanese tech giant is partnering with global chart-topping artist Peso Pluma to promote the bass-focused audio products.

“The powerful sound and massive bass of the ULT POWER SOUND series excites me,” Peso Pluma said. “As a musician who relies heavily on bass when creating my music, I feel that these products provide the best listening experience for my fans and there is nothing else like it.”

The ULT POWER SOUND range consists of three wireless speakers – the ULT TOWER 10, ULT FIELD 7, and ULT FIELD 1 – as well as the ULT WEAR wireless headphones. All models feature an “ULT button” that enhances the audio with one or two different bass-boosted sound modes.

The flagship ULT TOWER 10 is a large party speaker that promises to “turn your home into party central with massive bass, 360° Party Sound, 360° Party Light and karaoke.” It has a supplied wireless microphone, can connect to your TV to boost sound, and lets you link up to 100 compatible speakers via Party Connect.

For portable fun, the ULT FIELD 7 is a water/dust-proof speaker with up to 30 hours of battery life and quick charging. It has lighting effects, a mic input for karaoke, and horizontal or vertical positioning. The smaller ULT FIELD 1 is also water/dust/shock-proof and saltwater resistant, with a 12-hour battery and multi-way strap.

ULT WEAR wireless headphones

As for the ULT WEAR headphones, they use Sony’s V1 processor and custom drivers to produce “unwavering energy, huge resonating bass, and crystal-clear detail.” They have advanced noise cancellation too.

Sony says recycled plastic is used in the ULT POWER SOUND products as part of its environmental efforts. The ULT WEAR headphones launch in June 2024, while the ULT speakers arrive in August 2024.
