TCL, a Chinese multinational electronics company, has announced several new mobile, tablet, and connected devices at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, including three smartphones under the TCL 40 Series for the US market, TCL 40 XE 5G, TCL 40 X 5G, and TCL 40 XL, all of which aim to provide affordable 5G for everyone. TCL has also launched TCL NXTPAPER 11 and TCL TAB 11 globally.
The 40 XE 5G is the company’s most affordable 5G smartphone to date, offering HD+ with a 90 Hz refresh rate, and a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor. It features a 5000mAh battery with Sleep Smart Charging that ensures the phone’s battery health is not affected during charging. The 40 X 5G, on the other hand, features a 50MP triple AI camera and an 8MP selfie camera, a 5000mAh battery, and a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor. TCL’s 40 XL is another 4G smartphone with a 50MP AI Triple Camera and a lag-free Helio G37 octa-core processor, a 6.75-inch HD+ TCL NXTVISION display, and dual-speakers.
The company’s new NXTURBO display enhancing software, which increases GPU performance by 30% while reducing power consumption by up to 17%, powers both TCL 40 XE 5G and TCL 40 X 5G. It also ensures smooth scrolling and an excellent in-game experience. TCL NXTURBO will come to additional TCL smartphones later this year, including TCL 40 SE, which is available in Europe.
TCL NXTPAPER 2.0 is another product that boasts even brighter and more striking displays with the TCL NXTPAPER technology. TCL NXTPAPER 2.0’s automatic light sensor adjusts the colour temperature based on the environment and time, delivering an even more comfortable viewing and reading experience. TCL NXTPAPER 11 features a productivity punch with an 11-inch 2K display that uses AI Visual Boost to make colours bolder and more lifelike. It also includes an 8MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera.
TCL TAB 11 features a 10.8-inch display and is also equipped with TCL NXTPAPER 2.0 technology, which provides a comfortable reading experience. The tablet also comes with a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, and an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22T processor.
Aaron Zhang, the CEO of TCL Communication, stated that these upgrades to TCL’s devices ensure market-leading performance and display upgrades while supporting the company’s goal of democratising technology. He also emphasised that the company’s products, particularly the TCL 40 XE 5G and TCL 40 X 5G, will help deliver on TCL’s mission of providing 5G for everyone, aided by the company’s strong carrier partnerships.
The brand also unveiled a series of connected devices including:
- TCL MOVEAUDIO Neo earphones which has dual-mic call noise cancellation (ENC) and active noise cancellation (ANC) as well as 25dB of bass-boosted sound and four EQ modes.
- TCL LINKZONE 5G MW512, a portable router with sub-6GHz 5G network.
- TCL LINKZONE MW63, a portable router billed as “the world’s first CAT6 mobile Wi-Fi solution with eSIM compatibility” which provides download speeds of up to 300Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50Mbps.
