TCL Unveils Next-Gen TV Lineup

TCL, the world’s second-largest TV brand and a dominant force in the Google TV arena, has introduced its latest line of television sets slated to hit the South African market later this year.

A Glimpse into the Future: TCL’s Pinnacle of Display Technology

A highlight of this lineup is the C845, the latest entrant to TCL’s QD Mini LED TV series. Promising an array of cutting-edge technologies, the C845 incorporates Quantum Dot nanocrystals, offering an impressive color volume with heightened brightness and contrast. This is further amplified by up to 576 full-array local dimming zones, working in harmony to deliver striking visuals characterised by dynamic saturation and up to 2000 nits of brightness. This dazzling feat translates into crisper whites, deeper blacks, and a dynamic interplay of contrasts for a vivid visual spectacle. Sporting a 65″ display, the C845 is powered by AiPQ Processor 3.0 and boasts built-in Onkyo sound and Dolby Atmos, guaranteeing an immersive audio-visual experience. Additionally, TCL South Africa is set to launch the C755 QD Mini LED range, which features a mammoth 98-inch Google TV variant. This behemoth boasts a 144Hz panel, Mini LED and QLED technology as well as over 500 full-array local dimming zones.

Gaming aficionados are in for a treat with the TCL C745. Melding QLED with Full Array Local Dimming technology, this model features an impressive 144Hz VRR refresh rate, making it an ideal choice for seamless and immersive gaming experiences. On the other hand, the C645 employs Quantum Dot Technology, delivering an expansive palette of colors reminiscent of those captured by cinema cameras. With certification from Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, viewers can anticipate a cinematic feel right in their living rooms.

Mike Chen, General Manager of TCL South Africa, spoke passionately about this technological leap: “We believe that technology should be accessible to all, and our new range of televisions exemplifies this commitment. By bridging the price gap between QLED and 4K TVs, we are making cutting-edge QLED technology more attainable for everyday consumers.” Chen further alluded to the brand’s expansion into the home appliance space and its dedication to creating an integrated ecosystem that elevates daily routines.

Ryan Curling, Marketing Manager – South Africa at TCL Electronics, echoes this sentiment: “We are delighted to introduce our newest collection of televisions to the South African market. At TCL, we believe in enriching lives through innovation, and this new range reflects our unwavering dedication to delivering superior quality and performance.”

The new TV offerings, including the C645, C745, and C845, will be available through a range of channels, including HiFi Corporation, Incredible Connection, Takealot, Pick N Pay Home, and Pick N Pay Hypermarket. Although the official launch date and pricing are yet to be disclosed, the anticipation is palpable.
