WhatsApp has unveiled a new Status feature that allows users to share photos, videos, text, and other updates that disappear after 24 hours. The company has now added several new features to make Status even more enjoyable and interactive.
One of the most exciting features is the Private Audience Selector, which allows users to update their privacy settings for each status they share. This gives them more control over who sees their updates, ensuring that they only share with the right audience.
Another new addition is Voice Status, which allows users to record and share voice messages up to 30 seconds long. This feature is perfect for those who prefer to express themselves verbally rather than typing.
Status Reactions is also a welcome addition, as it allows users to respond to their friends’ and contacts’ updates quickly and easily. Users can now reply to a status by swiping up and tapping on one of eight emojis.
To ensure that users never miss an update from their loved ones, WhatsApp has added a status profile ring. This ring will appear around a contact’s profile picture whenever they share a status update, making it more visible to the user.
Finally, WhatsApp has added link previews to Status, which displays a visual preview of a link’s content when posted. This not only makes statuses look better but also gives contacts a better idea of what the link is about before clicking on it.
These new features are now rolling out globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
