Cathay Pacific is partnering with Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) on its “World of Winners” campaign. As part of this initiative, Cathay Pacific, one of the leading airlines in the region, will be giving away 450 round-trip air tickets to Hong Kong for lucky residents of South Africa. This effort aligns with the Hong Kong Tourism Board’s (HKTB) “Hello Hong Kong” campaign, aimed at welcoming tourists back to the city after travel restrictions have been lifted.
The “Hello Hong Kong” promotional campaign is set to spread its positive message worldwide, signaling that Hong Kong is ready to welcome visitors once again. This initiative highlights both signature experiences and new, exciting opportunities awaiting tourists.
To create an alluring atmosphere for visitors, over 16,000 outlets across the city, in collaboration with the HKTB and the tourism and hospitality sectors, have prepared a range of enticing welcoming offers. As part of the initial stage, the campaign will offer at least 1 million “Hong Kong Goodies” visitor consumption vouchers, including complimentary welcome drinks at participating bars, restaurants, and hotels. Visitors can also redeem cash vouchers for transportation, culinary experiences, retail outlets, and attractions.
To participate in the campaign, interested individuals must become a Cathay member, which they can do by signing up for free membership on Cathay Pacific’s website. During the campaign period, members can visit Cathay Pacific’s dedicated campaign website, sign in using their Cathay membership details, and register for the lucky draw.
Each member is allowed to submit only one entry. The winners will be announced on the campaign website, and they will receive an email with instructions on how to redeem their prize.
The “World of Winners” campaign for South Africa will commence on June 6, 2023, at 12:00 local time and conclude on June 12, 2023, at 12:00 local time. The winners will be announced on June 27, 2023. The redemption period for the tickets is from June 27 to July 26, 2023, and the travel period for the lucky winners is from August 2, 2023, to May 1, 2024.

Airport Authority Hong Kong’s Chief Operating Officer, Vivian Cheung, highlighted the relief package provided to Hong Kong’s aviation industry during the pandemic, including sponsoring air tickets in advance. These tickets are now being utilised as planned to promote traffic recovery. With Hong Kong open to the world, Cheung eagerly anticipates welcoming visitors from various parts of the globe, boasting of new services and facilities at Hong Kong International Airport that will provide passengers with a brand-new airport experience.
