iStore’s announced that it will open its largest flagship store in Cape Town on 16 July, iStore Queens Hotel V&A. The new store is located on Dock Road, Cape Town, amid the vibrant city centre, cultural landmarks and shopping district. The Queens Hotel building has stood on this spot, which used to be on the shoreline of the harbour, since around 1880. iStore in conjunction with the property owners, V&A Waterfront, has been on a two-year journey to attentively restore the building to its iconic status.
“The result is breathe taking, it is one of our second largest store in South Africa at 380 sqm and the most striking. Every design element was carefully thought-through to allow for some of the original features to shine, like ceiling beams thought to be from ancient ships and the original raw brick from hundreds of years ago,” says Chris Dodd, CEO iStore
iStore Hotel Queens V&A, not only looks incredible, but includes wide, open spaces, featuring an on-site Apple certified repair workshop, product experience lounges, dedicated areas to showcase the whole range of Apple products and accessories, separate training rooms, technical support and setup desks.
The newly imagined home for all things Apple is envisioned to serve as a point of connection just as it has over the last three centuries. Once it is safe to return to hosting events, iStore Queens Hotel V&A will become a place for Apple fans and the community to connect and learn through iStore meets, a series of workshops, events and experiences. The iStore meets programme gives customers the opportunity to learn from the best iStore trainers and industry experts to get the most out of their Apple products, take a passion further or learn a new skill in photography, music, art, design, video, coding, photography, health & fitness, education and business.
