LG Electronics South Africa plans to launch its online store at the end of August, marking a new phase in the company’s retail strategy. This move will provide South African consumers with an additional channel to purchase LG’s electronics and appliances directly from the manufacturer.
The upcoming e-commerce platform will offer LG’s full range of products, including OLED and QNED televisions, home appliances, monitors, and air conditioning units. Customers will be able to browse and purchase these items from the comfort of their homes.
Mr Jinkook Kang, Subsidiary President at LG Electronics South Africa, commented on the launch: “Our e-commerce platform aims to enhance accessibility to our products. We’re focusing on providing customers with a convenient shopping experience that aligns with our ‘Life’s Good’ philosophy.”
The online store will feature various payment methods, including a buy-now-pay-later zero interest instalment option and credit facilities. These options are intended to provide customers with flexibility in how they purchase LG products.
“We understand that purchasing electronics can be a significant investment,” Mr Kang said. “By offering different payment options and a straightforward returns process, we’re aiming to make the shopping experience more accommodating for our customers.”
LG is also extending its Premium Service to eligible items bought through the online store. This service includes free delivery, installation by trained technicians, and ongoing customer support.
“We’ve always offered Premium Service for certain products,” Mr Kang explained. “We’re now bringing this service to our online customers to ensure they receive the same level of support.”
To mark the launch, LG is introducing promotions across its product range, including TVs, audio systems, home appliances, monitors, and air conditioners. These offers will be available when the store goes live at the end of August. LG is encouraging customers to sign up on LG.com in advance. Those who do will receive benefits such as a 5% discount coupon for their first purchase, free delivery, and access to member events.
With this new online store, LG South Africa aims to provide customers with an additional shopping option, bringing its products and services directly to consumers across the country.
