Samsung’s 2025 Neo QLED Mini LED TVs are officially available in South Africa — and this year, they’re not just bigger. They’re smarter, brighter, and built to work more like the rest of your Samsung ecosystem.
Announced at an event in Fourways this week, the new Neo QLED 8K and 4K models bring a handful of meaningful upgrades, including a smarter processor, glare-free panels, and the debut of Samsung Vision AI — the company’s latest push to infuse its displays with personalised, AI-powered intelligence.

Vision AI combines real-time picture and sound optimisation with features like motion tracking, voice enhancement, and gesture-based controls. Yes, you can now wave your hand (while wearing a compatible Galaxy Watch) to pause or play a show — no remote needed.
On the 8K side, the QN950F and QN900F series now offer faster processing, better motion smoothing for sports and gaming, and Object Tracking Sound Pro, which syncs audio to the movement on-screen. The top-end QN950F even includes Samsung’s award-winning glare-free coating — something usually reserved for The Frame.
The 4K models (QN90F, QN80F, and QN70F) aren’t an afterthought, either. There’s now a 115-inch QN90F — Samsung’s biggest consumer TV to date — and each series gets AI-enhanced upscaling, brighter HDR, and variable refresh rates up to 240Hz for high-frame-rate gaming.
Beyond the specs, Samsung is betting on a cleaner, more unified experience. The TVs now run a revamped Tizen interface, called One UI Tizen, that feels closer to a Samsung smartphone or tablet. You can create user profiles, get personalised content recommendations, and access your favourite apps — all with up to seven years of OS updates promised.
Art lovers also get something new: the Samsung Art Store, previously exclusive to The Frame, is now available across the Neo QLED range. That means you can turn your TV into a digital gallery, with pieces from artists like Basquiat, van Gogh and Dalí — assuming you’re okay with a subscription.
Prices range from R17,999 for the 43-inch QN90F to R179,999 for the 98-inch model. The QN950F and QN900F 8K TVs top out at R149,999, with availability staggered across July.
Samsung’s strategy is clear: take its best screen tech and layer it with AI, design, and ecosystem integration. And if you’re deep in the Samsung world — Galaxy Watch on wrist, SmartThings throughout your home — the Neo QLED Mini LED range might just be the most seamless big-screen upgrade yet.
