Cape Town to Paris flights return for Summer 2025

There are few journeys that carry the same kind of magic as travelling between Cape Town and Paris — one a coastal city kissed by sun and sea, the other a global capital of elegance and light. This December, the dream route returns in style as Air France reinstates its seasonal Cape Town to Paris flights — and this time, it’s daily.

From 15 December 2025 to 12 January 2026, travellers can wake to the shadow of Table Mountain and fall asleep beneath Parisian rooftops, courtesy of a sleek morning departure aboard the Airbus A350. The flight, which leaves Cape Town at 08:50 and touches down in Paris at 19:20, is more than just convenient — it’s curated. Think Champagne in every cabin, menus that echo the best of French gastronomy, and cabin interiors that blur the line between transport and tranquillity.

For many, this route isn’t just about a holiday. It’s a reconnection — with family, with culture, with memories long stored in the scent of warm baguettes or the salted breeze of the Atlantic. And there’s something inherently cinematic about tracing that line across continents, from the vineyards of Stellenbosch to the arrondissements of Paris, in a single, uninterrupted flight.

The return leg is equally elegant: Paris to Cape Town, departing at 18:30, arriving just in time for sunrise. It’s ideal for travellers chasing summer from one hemisphere to the other — or simply seeking a pause between worlds.

“This seasonal increase to daily flights between the two cities is a reflection of Air France’s strong and growing relationship with South Africa,” says Wilson Tauro, Country Manager Southern Africa at Air France-KLM. And indeed, it shows: this isn’t just a resumption, but a reinforcement — part of a broader commitment that now includes up to 32 weekly flights to South Africa between Air France and KLM, with 18 of those bound for Cape Town alone.

As much as this is a practical announcement, it’s also a poetic one. It reminds us that travel — at its best — connects more than destinations. It connects rhythms, cultures, seasons. It makes the world feel not just smaller, but richer.

Bookings for Cape Town to Paris flights are now open at www.airfrance.co.za. Seats are expected to fill quickly as both South Africans and Europeans eye the summer corridor that’s somehow both old-world and ocean-fresh.
